World Environmental Day CLO Calls For Preservation of Environment

Human Rights Activist and Public Affairs Analyst Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme has pleaded with Nigeria governments at all levels and the governed to spare no effort to protect and safeguard our environment.

Ezekwueme made the remarks in commemoration of 2020 World Environmental Day.

For us to properly safeguard our environment conceited efforts should be made for adequate protection of our environment.

It is pertinent for government and citizenry to device means and ways to turn our waste into wealth to stop degrading and polluting our environment and avert avoidable health challenges.

Significantly a healthy environment breed a healthy citizenry and nation.
It is indispensable and inevitable for us to conscientiously and aggressively ensure preservation, protection and conservation of our environment.

Ezekwueme who is CLO chairman Anambra State decried and lamented huge loss of our environment to natural disasters like erosion, flooding, sand dredging, indiscriminate waste disposal and torrential downpour.

I most passionately appeal to governments and National Assembly to enact stringent legislation that will protect and preserve our environment especially establishment of viable Environmental Protection Agency at all tiers of governments Ezekwueme posited.
