Woman bites co-tenant’s nose

A 32-year-old woman, Peace Akwa, who allegedly bit her co-tenant’s nose during a dispute, is standing trial before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.
The police charged Akwa, with assault. She pleaded not guilty.


Prosecuting Inspector Victor Eruada alleged that the defendant used her teeth to inflict a deep cut on Mrs. Ronke Alade’s nose.

He said Akwa committed the offence on January 26, at 5:30pm, at Agege.
Magistrate M. I. Dan-Oni granted Akwa N50, 000 bail with one surety in the like sum.


He said the surety must be employed and show evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
The case continues on March 6.
