Vigilantes Nab Seven Suspected ISWAP Logistics Suppliers in Yobe

Vigilante operatives from Sector 2 of Operation Hadin Kai have apprehended seven individuals suspected of supplying logistics to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Lamisheri, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the arrest in a post on X on Monday, revealing that the suspects were intercepted while attempting to transport three motorcycles to ISWAP fighters in the Timbuktu Triangle, a well-known insurgent stronghold in the North East.
According to security sources, logistics networks—smuggling motorcycles, fuel, food, and weapons—have been crucial in sustaining insurgent operations. Insurgents often regroup with assistance from collaborators who provide supplies and intelligence, undermining military efforts to stabilize the region.
The Nigerian military has reiterated that disrupting ISWAP’s supply chain is vital to weakening the group. The arrested suspects remain in custody for further investigation.
