Two Escape Death in Osun Hit-and-Run Accident

Two individuals narrowly escaped death in a hit-and-run accident along the Ife-Ondo Road in Osun State on Monday.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Osun Sector Command, the crash, involving a black TVS motorcycle without a registration number, occurred around 12:50 p.m. near Ali Ahanran bends, about four kilometres from the FRSC base.
FRSC spokesperson Agnes Ogungbemi, citing the Ifetedo Outpost report, said the likely cause was speed violation. The motorcycle rider, identified as Mutiu, and one passenger sustained injuries and were taken to Truman Hospital in Ondo for treatment.
Emergency responders arrived within eight minutes, recovering two Itel mobile phones and ₦59,500 in cash from the scene. The hit-and-run incident remains under investigation.
Sector Commander Taofeeq Sokunbi urged motorists to observe speed limits and drive responsibly to prevent avoidable accidents.
