Rivers Police kill 3 suspected cultists terrifying Udebu community

Operatives of the Ahoada Police Division, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State have annihilated three suspected cultists frightening the Udebu community.

Corroborating the incident to Odogwublog.com, a source from the area, said the Police impeded a supremacy battle between two rival cult groups in the Udebu community.

The cult gangs, according to the source, had mobilized to engage in a supremacy battle when they were intercepted by the Police who were acting on intelligence.

A young man, identified as Bright and two other suspected cultists were fatally wounded by the Police, in an exchange of gunfire.

Ikechukwu Uturu, who is popularly called Old School and the General of one of the cult groups, escaped with a bullet wound.

One locally fabricated G-3 rifle, a locally fabricated pistol which uses AK 47 ammunition, charms and other dangerous weapons were recovered from the hoodlums by the Police.

The spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed that 3 suspected cultists were indeed fatally wounded by the Police in Udebu during a gun duel with the Police, but did not give further details.
