Rawlings’ Death a great loss tto Africa – Obi
Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2019 elections, Mr. Peter Obi, has described the death, on Thursday, of former Ghanaian leader Jerry Rawlings as a great loss not just for Ghana but for Africa at large.
Obi, who recalled how he always hosted the former Ghanaian President in Nigeria, said that at each occasion, Rawlings would always advise him with evident delight about what good governance could do for a society.
Obi described Rawlings’ voice as “a bulwark against bad governance and, rightly or wrongly, representative of revolutionary zeal for a better society”.
