Miscreants’ attacks on operatives in Anambra will not deter the police from ensuring the security of lives and properties.

Commissioner of Police in Anambra, Mr Aderemi Adeoye, gave the assurance on Wednesday.

He made the declaration when he visited two police operatives, who sustained injuries in an onslaught on criminals’ hideouts at Orsumoghu community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra on July 31.

Police spokesman in Anambra, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, quoted Adeoye in a statement as assuring that the welfare of officers and men remained paramount to the leadership of the police force.

He stated that Adeoye made cash donations to the officers and prayed for their quick recovery while assuring them that the police would not abandon them to their fate.
