The Bauchi State Police Command has advised the “Take It Back Movement” to reconsider today’s planned protest, citing security risks and its clash with National Police Day.

In a statement, police spokesperson CSP Ahmed Wakil said the organizers failed to notify security agencies or request coverage, raising public safety concerns.

Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, directed heightened patrols at potential hotspots and warned of consequences for unauthorized gatherings.

While affirming support for peaceful assembly, the command urged the group to seek dialogue with authorities and properly plan future protests. The public was also urged to report suspicious activity and keep youths from unrest.
