Police Neutralize 4 Kidnappers, Recover 18 Rifles, 192 Ammunition in Delta, Kano

Operatives of the Nigeria Police have neutralized four kidnappers and recovered a cache of weapons following raids in Delta and Kano States.

In Delta, police stormed a forest along the Asaba/Agbor expressway after arresting Abubakar Usman, alias Shehu, leader of a notorious kidnap syndicate. Acting on his confession, operatives raided the gang’s hideout, killing four members in a shootout and seizing three AK-47 rifles and 90 rounds of ammunition.

In Kano, police arrested three suspects—Abdul Sadiq, Ahmad Muazu, and Aliyu Sharif—at Dorayi Babba. The operation led to the recovery of 15 locally made revolvers, 102 live cartridges, and six used shells.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover the arms production site and apprehend other accomplices.
