Police arrest teenager cultist, recover pistol

Police operatives attached to Agbarho Police Station during a routine surveillance patrol have apprehended an eighteen-year-old suspected cultist, Difference Sunday, in Ekrerhawe, a community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

A locally made, cut-to-size gun was recovered from the suspect, who lived in Isiokolo, Ethiope-East Local Government Area.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report in a statement made available to newsmen.

According to him: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is a member of Eiye Confraternity; a blue beret with a symbol of Eiye Confraternity was also recovered from the suspect.”
