Police Arrest 962 Suspects Nationwide for Murder, Fraud, and Other Offenses
The Nigeria Police Force has arrested 962 individuals for crimes including armed robbery, kidnapping, murder, and fraud since January 2025. Key cases include two employees accused of embezzling ₦300 million from a hospitality company to fund gambling and three impostors posing as soldiers who defrauded businesses using fake bank alerts. The arrests also resulted in the recovery of 73 firearms, 310 rounds of ammunition, 56 stolen vehicles, and the rescue of 302 kidnapping victims. The police reiterated their commitment to combating crime and protecting citizens.
