Peter Obi Visits Plateau Attack Victims, Donates N7.5m

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Sunday visited Plateau State to commiserate with victims of recent killings in Bokkos LGA.
In a post shared via X on Monday, Obi described the attacks as “senseless killings,” stressing that no Nigerian should live in fear in a country not at war.
Traveling from Abuja to Jos, Obi met with Governor Caleb Mutfwang before proceeding to Bokkos, where he interacted with displaced children and affected families.
“What happened in these communities is heartbreaking and unacceptable. Every Nigerian life is valuable, and no one should be forced to flee their home,” he said.
Obi announced a donation of N7.5 million to support the education and welfare of displaced children. He also recalled an earlier intervention by the Obidient Movement, which included the construction of a borehole at the IDP camp.
He emphasized the need for compassionate leadership and pledged continued support for efforts toward peace and justice in Plateau.
