Peter Obi, Alex Otti Convene Labour Party NEC Meeting

Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, have convened a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party, set to take place in Abuja on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

According to a notice signed by Ibrahim Umar, spokesperson for the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR), the NEC meeting will run alongside an interactive town hall session with key stakeholders at the Transcorp Hilton.

Expected attendees include the party’s 2023 vice presidential candidate, serving and former senators, House of Representatives members and candidates, members of the National Caretaker Committee, former governorship candidates still with the party, representatives of the NLC/TUC Political Commission, and the former National Working Committee.

The meeting follows the recent Supreme Court ruling that dissolved the Julius Abure-led National Working Committee.
