“My Journey to Self-Discovery: How I Found My Passion and Purpose”

As I sit here reflecting on my life’s journey, I am reminded of the twists and turns that have led me to where I am today. From a curious child to a driven young adult, I have always been on a quest for knowledge and understanding.

Growing up I was always fascinated about the world around me. Through a journey of self discovery I learnt to embrace my strength, weaknesses and discovered my passion for writing and communication. I started writing articles and landed few scripting deals
In this article I share my story including the ups and downs, the lessons I’ve learnt along the way. My hope is that my journey will inspire you to reflect on your own part and discover your passion and your purpose

My name is Adikaibe Peculiar chidumebi F and I’m an eighteen year-old girl from an average Christian home, a student of the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University in the department of mass communication as an aspiring journalist . With a passion for adventure and learning, I’ve achieved a certificate in catering from chinaemeze bridal institute showcasing my expertise in creating delicious and memorable culinary experiences for my clients and guests, undergone a computer training , and have basic knowledge of sewing. You can call me a generalist or a Renaissance person.

When I’m not working or studying, you can find me writing , cooking , or baking . My friends and family would describe me as adventurous , determined never giving up on my dreams , and creative as my creative side shines through in my hobbies and interest starting from my writing to my cooking.

One personal significant challenge I’ve overcome /faced that shaped me was during a visit to my dad’s step-cousin’s house. Unfortunately, I was subjected to mistreatment, verbal abuse,physical abuse and false accusations. I was called derogatory names, starved, and accused of stealing(which I never for once did) . The most painful part was being told that I would never amount to anything in life. However, instead of letting those words define me, I used them as fuel to drive my determination to succeed. This experience gave rise to my dream of becoming a very successful journalist, to be the voice of the voiceless and prove my worth. I’ve since worked hard to achieve my goals and one huge step was gaining admission to the university right after secondary school and prove those negative prophecies wrong. Today, I stand strong and proud of the person am becoming , and I’m grateful for the lessons learned from that difficult experience.”
