Man runs amok, kills wife, child with shovel in Anambra
A 28-year-Old man, Chukwuemeka Obijofa has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife and four-year-old child in Ofufe Nza village in Anambra State.
The suspect reportedly attacked his wife, Chisom and his child, Amanda, hitting them in the head with a shovel.
The Nation gathered that the suspect also wounded a vigilante man who attempted to rescue the victims.
Police spokesman Haruna Mohammed said the bodies of the woman and the child have been deposited at a morgue.
He said the suspect “allegedly ran amok in circumstances yet to be ascertained” and attacked his wife and child with a shovel.
“Suspect equally used same object and wounded a vigilante man who tried to rescue the victims.
Mohammed said Commissioner of Police John Abang has directed that the case be transferred to State CID, Awka.
