Kano Gov Signs Laws to Establish SMEs and Three Other Agencies
Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has signed four landmark bills into law, creating new agencies to strengthen the state’s development framework.
The laws establish the Kano State Protection Agency, the Signage and Advertisement Agency, the Information and Communication Technologies Development Agency, and the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Development Agency.
These agencies aim to foster innovation, support small businesses, regulate advertising, and enhance public service delivery.
Governor Yusuf emphasized that the new laws are integral to his vision for a modern, inclusive Kano and will help drive job creation, attract investments, and support sustainable growth. Violations of the laws will incur strict penalties.
