Igwe Uke advises communities to cooperate with Investors

Igwe Surv. Charles Agbala of Uke community in Idemili North Local Government Area has reiterated Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State’s ”Think Home Philosophy’ urging Ndi Anambra who are wealthy to come home and invest saying that it would help provide more employment opportunities and further developments within the State and rural communities.
The monarch further advised community leaders and other residents to cooperate with Investors saying that the menace of fake land grabbers, land speculators and false kinsmen who mismanage funds meant for development have been scaring away prospective investors from locating some of their investments in certain communities.
Igwe Agbala who is also the Chairman, Idemili North and South Council of Traditional rulers made the call during his 6th New Yam festival celebration since ascending the throne of Uke community.
“Akulueuno is for all Igbos. We advise our illustrous sons and daughters to bring back some of their investments home. It will better our community and create employment opportunities for our youths. Governor Obiano is creating enabling environment to ensure businesses or industries thrive in Anambra State”.
“Land grabbers and false land speculators should desist from their nefarious activities of duping unsuspecting buyers who have good intentions of bringing development. Also, unchecked activities of youths who exploit developers is not in anybody’s interest”.
“If a brother who is abroad sends money on trust for a relative to acquire a property, or build a house, the relative at home should not convert it to his selfish use or squander the fund. All these things are discouragement to Investors”.
Earlier during the breaking of kolanuts and ceremonial cutting of the New Yam, Igwe Agbala thanked God for blessing all the endeavors of Uke indigenes and residents including farmers, businessmen, artisans, public servants, industrialists, Entrepreneurs among others praying for better yields, progress and peace of the people.
Moreover, the Bursar Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Dr. Pastor Felix Ilechukwu supported the Think Home philosophy saying that he had concluded plans to establish an integrated agric farm including fish farming in Uke his hometown.
The trio of High Chief Donatus Enendu(Dikeora 1 of Uke), Chief David Ilonzo(Omelora Uke), High Chief Vincent Mbanefo Umekwe in their seperate speeches after thanking God for the New Yam festival sued for peace and Unity in Uke community.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion paying homage to the traditional ruler include Elder Dr. John Anagor Amanze, Dr. Sir. Edwin Emegakor(Odu Uke), G 20-Member, Onyemaechi Mmaduneme(Onyendidi), Chief Godfrey Uzodimma(Nnanyelugo Uke), Chief Ubabunike Obi, Ichie Peter Agubuisi(Onowu Uke) and the Coordinator, Uke Born Again Christian Association (UBACU), Rev. Livingston Chinwendu. They all commended the achievements of the monarch calling all members of Uke Community to support his good works.
