Governor Soludo Flags-Off All Anambra Community Plastic Waste Recovery

The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo CFR Yesterday flagged-off All Anambra Community Plastic Waste Recovery at Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.
Speaking through the Deputy Governor, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim described Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Felix Odumegbu as a round peg in a round hole, stating that Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo expects so much from him in addition to what he had been doing.
He said, immediately Governor Soludo took the mantle of leadership, he took them on a tour of the state and they started working in Okpoko going by the promises he made during campaign, saying that, it was quite a very heart rendering tour because they went to Okpoko slump but today, they changed the name to New Heaven because of the wonderful work Mr. Governor did.
Dr. Ibezim described Governor Soludo as a man who saw tomorrow, saying that while Lagos have the advantage of expanding into the ocean, Anambra State is being constricted by erosion which is our main existential threat, no wonder Mr. Governor made environment one of the great pillars.
Dr. Ibezim said, we are rapidly growing, our economy is boosting and investors are investing and if we don’t salvage this environment, we will be swallowed by the harm we cause ourselves.
While commending the Ministry of Environment and all the agencies for their commitment towards sustainable clean environment, he charged them on behalf of Mr. Governor to see how we can work together and fight the menace.
