Foundation restates commitment to building, development of Anambra youths

Acobarry Charity Foundation, a nongovernmental charity organization, has restated its resolve to building and development of youths in Anambra State.

This came after the Foundation awarded a scholarship worth one million naira to an indigent student, Mr. Christian Chukwuma, from Okpeze community in Orumba North local government area of the state.

www.odogwublog.com gathered that the scholarship which was awarded in July, 2023 was for Chukwuma’s Masters’ Degree at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu University. It covers both the tuition, accommodation and allowance.

Recall that the Foundation recently doled out the sum of N20 million worth UK scholarship to youths of Ndiakwu community in Otolo, Nnewi Local Government Area, Anambra State.

According to the Management, the scheme aims at promoting access to quality education for indigent students in the state. It is also in line with the ‘Think-Home’ yearnings of the Anambra State government.

A statement signed by Founder/Chairman Acobarry Charity Foundation, Hon. Onyedikachukwu Chukwuma lauded the appointment of Augustine Ike, member representing Nnewi North Constituency as the Chairman, Anambra State House Committee on Youth and Sports Development.

Part of the statement read: “The Aco Barry Foundation is especially happy that you are chairing a critical committee like this which holds the future of our dear state. 

“Our Foundation is particular about youth development and capacity building, we are also committed to helping young people advance their aspirations through the various programmes of our Foundation.”

Describing the leadership style of the 8th assembly Speaker, Hon Somtochukwu Udeze as smooth, the Foundation expressed readiness to partner the Assembly committee, Anambra State government, and other relevant agencies in building the capacity of youths in the state.

“We are therefore confident that moving on, our Foundation is prepared to work with your Committee and other relevant government agencies, towards building the capacity of Anambra State youths,” it said.
