Fire Razes Female Hostel at Sokoto State University
A fire outbreak has destroyed a female students’ hostel at Sokoto State University (SSU).
The affected building was one of the newly constructed hostels aimed at addressing accommodation shortages. Fortunately, no students were inside, as authorities had earlier ordered an evacuation for undisclosed reasons.
Firefighters have contained the blaze, but the extent of the damage is yet to be determined. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
