Family seeks govt, Police intervention on alleged murder case

A family from Udi, Enugu State, has called on government authorities including the Anambra State Governor, Professor Soludo, Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng; and National Human Rights Commissions, NHRC, and well meaning Nigerians to intervene on the alleged murder of their mother.

The family known as Nnaemeka family in Udi recently cried out to the leadership of Umudioka Youth body, Awka led by Chief Christopher. C. Uzor (Nkpona) to intervene on the death of their mother, Mrs. Magret Nnaemeka whose death occurred after she was traumatized by the security operatives allegedly incited by one Obiajulu Nweke, a.k.a: Ego di gbo.

The family while addressing the youth body at Ndi Hall today, told Okolobia Umudioka Village Youth that Mr. Obiajulu who happens to be a native of Umudioka Village, Awka had issues with his children and the said Obiajulu invited the security men who chased Obiajulu’s children to their house.

That when the local security men got into their compound, they broke their metal protector and gained entry into their family house in search of the suspects.

The family said that while the security men were searching for the suspects, pushed their mother who fell down and became unconscious.

The family attested before the youth body that with the assistances of neighbors, their mother was rushed to different hospitals but was confirmed dead by doctors, and that she has been deposited in a mortuary.

Speaking to the family, Chief Christopher. C Uzor sympathized with them.

He also condemned in its totality the alleged usage of security men by Mr. Obiajulu in civil matter.

Okolobia Umudioka berated Mr. Obiajulu for not reporting his children to Okolobia Umudioka rather the employment of security men.

Okolobia Umudioka advised the family to employ the services of a legal practitioner for them to get the desired justice I’m this matter.

Efforts to hear from Mr. Obiajulu were futile as his compound was deserted in wake of the incident. His wife who spoke with the reporter said she was not in good relationship with him and cannot speak for him to Intervene in the case.
