F. C Ifeanyi Uba loses Anambra FA Cup to new club

It was a joyous celebration last Sunday as Aspire FC Adazi-Ani defeated FC Ifeanyi Uba in the just concluded Anambra FA Cup tournament.

The tournament which took place recently at Neros Stadium Nanka, saw the youngest Club in Anambra State beat FC Ifeanyi Uba in a penalty shoot out with four goals, after playing one goal draw in Ninety minutes.
It was gathered that FC Ifeanyi Uba was the defending team that had recorded Four-time Champions in the tournament, defeating every team, but met its Waterloo at the last tournament.
It was observed that Aspire FC Adazi-Ani which was registered in December 2018, made its first appearance in the last tournament displayed tremendous tactical skills and physical fitness through out the tournament.
The players’ performance was unprecedented as they never lost to any of their opponents.
In his reaction shortly after their victory, the Founder and President, Aspire FC, Dr. Emeka Okeke expressed gratitude to Ndi Anambra for the opportunity given to the club, that had enabled them showcase their talents.
Dr. Okeke who is also the CEO, RISE Clinic, Adazi-Ani,stated categorically that under his watch, Aspire FC would re-write the history of football in Nigeria.
The Rise Clinic boss, promised to work closely with Anambra State FA and other football lovers in the State to promote excellence, reposition football in Anambra and ensure players’ welfare.
He thanked the Chairman, Neros Pharmaceuticals Dr. Poly Emenike and the sponsor of Anambra State FA Cup, for his contribution towards football in the State.
Furthermore, he called on Ndi Anambra to be on the lookout and support the team with necessary backings, expressing joy over the remarkable performance of his players.

On his part, the international trained Coach, Coach Mike Eze Nwakpa expressed gratitude to God for a wonderful start and promised that the club would witness great transformation in years to come.
Also, the Manager, FC Aspire, Mr Augustine Okoye, and the head coach of Aspire FC, Coach Obinna lampard, all expressed their joy over the victory.
Highpoints of the match was the presentation of medals to players and official handover of the trophy to Aspire FC Adazi-Ani and celebration by players.
