Engr Chukwuemeka Happy With Nnewi Water Scheme Project

The Anambra State Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engineer Julius Chukwuemeka has inspected the ongoing Construction of Nnewi Water Scheme and expressed satisfaction with the level of work so far, as he reaffirmed Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to the sustainable development of Anambra State.

The Commissioner re-emphasized the significance of the Nnewi Water Scheme, as a critical step towards fulfilling the Governor’s campaign promises to Ndị Anambra.

Engineer. Chukwuemeka maintained that the project exemplified the current administration’s dedication to improving essential infrastructure for the citizens as well as the residents of the state.

According to the Power and Water Resources Commissioner, the water scheme will make use of three different power sources, solar, transformer and generators to ensure its sustainability as well as an uninterrupted service delivery.

According to him, the multifaceted approach reflects the administration’s forward-thinking strategy in addressing the state’s power challenges and securing reliable water supply for the entire twenty-one Local Government Areas in the State.

Engr. Chukwuemeka further noted that similar construction efforts are ongoing in various urban centres, alongside sixty-eight other similar projects in rural communities across Anambra.

He pointed out that they are giving Ndi Nnewi, a clean and sustainable water supply with about twenty-kilometre target, and that other parts of the State including Onitsha, Otuocha, Awka, Ogidi, Ihiala, Agulu, Obosi, Achala, Umunze, Mkpologu, Awkuzu, Osamala, among others in the rural areas are not left behind, as work is ongoing simultaneously to ensure a comprehensive water scheme for the entire Anambra State.
