Eight Dead in Fatal Motor Accident in Imo State

A fatal motor accident on Sunday at Amala, Ngor-Okpala LGA of Imo State claimed the lives of eight people. The crash involved a Toyota Camry (EPE 541 JO) and a Hyundai Santa FE (AAA 212 CD), killing all occupants of both vehicles.
Police operatives from the Ngor-Okpala Divisional Headquarters arrived promptly to evacuate the bodies to the mortuary and clear the vehicles to ease traffic.
According to the State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident and identify the families of the deceased. Pictorial evidence has also been collected to aid the inquiry.
The Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, cautioned motorists against reckless driving and speeding, citing these as major causes of road accidents. He urged drivers to follow traffic rules and exercise patience to protect their lives and those of others.
