Egwu-Alusi Ebenebe: Hon Okennah, Dikemba Ebenebe Promotes Garri Ebenebe As Best In Nigeria

President, Mother Sussan Charity Foundation, Hon Oliver Nwannebuike Okennah has asked the people of the ten communities in Awka-North to be proud of their products particularly all agricultural produce coming out of Awka North.
Hon Okennah also known as Dikemba Ebenebe spoke during the 2025 farming cultural festival event in the community known as Egwu Alusi Ebenebe.

Hon Okennah insisted that Ebenebe has comparative advantage over the special Garri in the market now been attributed to other climes even when it emanated from Ebenebe, Awka-North council area.
According to him, ‘Garri Ebenebe is one of the farm produce my community has been known for even before we were born. Our people are known for their ability to produce garri in commercial quantities. It is important that we continue to uphold the signature. It is our identity, it’s our culture, and it’s our pride’.
Dikemba Ebenebe, a Nigerian born Canadian citizen witnessed the Ebenebe 2025 farming festival popularly known alongside friends and well wishers across the world.

Dikemba Ebenebe who was the NUJ 2024 Anambra State most innovative entrepreneur of the year award winner used the opportunity to deliver the message of food sufficiency and surplus camping to his hometown people of Ebenebe.
He called in his people to take farming seriously and emphasized on the need for youth engagement in agricultural practices.
He commended the people of Awka North particularly Ebenebe community for their outstanding contributions to food security and food sufficiency as well as the food surplus camping initiative, describing the impact his foundation, Mother Sussan Charity Foundation has brought to that aspect as unprecedented.
He also announced a 3 year farm credit facility initiative rolled out by his foundation to assist rural farmers to have hitch free farming and lift their entrepreneurial spirit on agriculture and agri-food sector.
The 3 year farm credit facility initiative is part of the MOTHER SUSSAN Charity Foundation entrepreneurial strategy on rural agricultural development, food surplus, and security, ‘Dikemba Ebenebe concluded.
Some of the dignitaries who witnessed the Egwu Alusi 2025 farming season festival were the former chairmen of Awka North LGA Chief Dennis Ngene, Hon Ferdinand Onwuje, Mr Christopher Ilonwa from Canada, and Mr Chinonso ( Sochino) from Denmark and numerous others.
The traditional ruler of Ebenebe, Igwe Christopher Nnaegbuna declared the event open for celebration.
