Edo State Launches Traditional Medicines Board

Traditional medicine practitioners in Edo State have praised Governor Monday Okpebholo for establishing the Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, urging members to uphold ethical practices.

At the board’s inauguration, Chairman High Chief Abudu Ugbesia emphasized the potential for Nigeria to advance traditional medicine, citing China’s success. He criticized past administrations for neglecting the board since 2016 and commended Okpebholo for reviving it.

Ugbesia pledged to reform traditional medicine in Edo, promoting its credibility and effectiveness, while board members vowed to support improved practices in the state.
