Ebenesi Nnobi Women tasked to avoid things that destroy kidney

The Ebenesi Nnobi Women wing(Inyom Ebenesi) has been advised to avoid ingesting certain substances or categories of food items that may be harmful to their kidney health.
The health sensitization talk was given at Ebenesi Nnobi Town hall in Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State during the Inyom Ebenesi annual women summit.
Presenting a health talk titled ‘ 20 things that can kill the kidney,’ the Inyom Ebenesi Chairlady, Mrs Patricia Ezenabo, an health educator said that the kidney as one of the vital organs in the human body requires preventive care to avoid kidney failure.
“Almost everything you ingest into your body must past through your kidney.Harmful foods or habits can develop toxins which weaken or sometimes destroys the kidney Leading to sicknesses that may require dialysis, kidney transplant or result to death.
“As one gets to the age of 40years please reduce intake of red meat, alcohol, table salt, caffeine, artificial sweeteners, carbonated beverages/drinks, energy drinks, excess analgestics/ painkillers especially without doctors prescription.
“Smoking, exposure to imaging/ x-rays, not sleeping enough, not engaging in physical exercises, not urinating or defecating when pressed, not treating infection on time, not monitoring one’s blood pressure and others could affect the kidney adversely,” Ezenabo said.
Moreover, the outgoing chairlady,Mrs Ezenabo appreciated inyom Ebenesi Nnobi for believing in her and ensuring peace and unity during her tenure. She encouraged them to support the incoming executive likewise.
According to her,I have taught Ebenesi women the importance of education,girl-child education, proper parenting, love and understanding between married couples in marriage.




Highlight of the Ebenesi Nnobi women summit include Dressing competition/fashion parade to ease stress which saw Mrs Christiana Odinigbo(Umuru village) attain 1st position while Mrs Josephine Ezenabo(Umuona village), Mrs Bridget Okpalanduka(Ubaha village) and Mrs Chiamaka Anololefo(Ifite village) as runners up.
