Cardinal Okpalaeke Confident Of Brighter Future For Nigerians

The Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke declares with Christ’ victory over death, a new Nigeria that approximates the dream of a society where the citizenry lives decently, justice flow like water and righteousness like a never-failing stream, shall rise and shine again.
Correspondent, Amaka Chibuzo Okoye reports that Cardinal Okpalaeke stated this in his Easter message to people.
He revealed that Easter is a manifestation of God’s recreative power, adding that Lazarus was raised to life and he died again, but Jesus was raised to life never to die again.
The Prelate further explained that Easter is a proof that through divine intervention, life can come forth from death, freshness from decay, joy from sorrow, and courage from despair, while calling on christians to use the celebration of Easter to brace up and face the world with courage and trust in the abiding presence of God even when he seems to be far away and silent.
Cardinal Okpalaeke reminded the church that Easter is a call to remain steadfast in doing good, ever hopeful that the good will triumph.
The Cardinal explained that Nigerians, are going through the valley of darkness and are surviving a lot that threatens life physically, emotionally, and spiritually, including galloping inflation, unemployment and dilapidated infrastructure among many other challenges Nigerians pass through daily.
He revealed that the cash redesign policy worsened the situation as many people wasted time and energy to get a paltry sum in the bank and created the situation of Point of Sale, POS operators exchanging physical cash for electronic cash at a higher rate to compensate for their effort at the banks to obtain the cash.
Wishing everyone Happy Easter celebration, Cardinal Okpalaeke said that in spite of the difficulties, Nigerians shall be triumphantly victorious, by the power of Jesus Christ.
