BREAKING: Former chair of Interim Govt, Ernest Shonekan is dead

Chief Ernest Shonekan, the past head of the Interim National Government who succeeded General Ibrahim Babangida, is dead.

According to TVC news, he perished in Lagos at the age of 85.

The deceased was the interim head of the Nigerian government between August 26 and November 17, 1993, before he was overthrown in a coup led by late General Sani Abacha.
