ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CELEBRATES WOMEN’S DAY IN STYLE

It was memorable and joyful moment as the Women Ministry (WM) of Assemblies of God Church Uwani, Enugu led by wife of the senior Pastor Mercy Ezeoha joined their counterpart nationwide to celebrate the 2023 women’s Day themed, ” Pressing Forward to win Price”
The Annual event which took place at the Assemblies of God church, Uwani in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu state witnessed the presence of dignitries within and beyond who gathered to celebrate the Women’s Day with them.
In her homily, Mrs Ezeoha who took Philipians 3:14 as her Bible text urged the entire faithful to keep pressing forward to win price.
According to her, “pressing forward simply means moving forward to a position or proceeding with urgency especially when things are not going as expected.
“Paul is therefore, telling us that such movement is not something that is easy but tough whole urging Christan fateful not to give up in pressing forward.
“You should move forward and not to lose faith in God because a great price awaits you.
When there is a challenge facing you, you must lean to press forward.
“Press on and do not be afraid of the challenge. Remember, the saying that when the going gets tough, the tough people get going.
“When it gets to Child delivery ,it is painful ,you can not stop it but the pains will bring Joy to you .That is an illustration. Keep pressing forward to win the price.
Paul advices us not to give up.You are a child of God not by mouth.
Jesus Christ suffered same, trials and temptations make us strong in faith
“Jesus was named above any other names on earth because He suffered for it by pressing forward to win the price.
“Pressing forward requires determination, endurance and focused no matter the trials and temptations of life.
“Being a christian does not make you free from temptation according to 1st John 1:vs 2-4.
“Problem is a test and if you fail, you will resit the class .In that test, keep pressing forward because God wants to promote you for better and to another level. Be focused and run away from sinful life” she urged.
Drama presentation, beautiful rendition by the choir and gifts presentation to first timers, other visitors, widows, less previledged and some active members of the church formed the highlight of the colourful celebration.
