Anyaoku, monarch inculcate reading, learning culture in 310 children

The former Common Wealth of Nations Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku and the traditional ruler of Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Igwe Chidubem Iweka 111, have inculcated reading and learning culture in no fewer than 310 children from Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State
Addressing the children, during a Christmas party organized by Emeka Anyaoku foundation Centre , for the children, Anyaoku stressed the need for them to make use of the library he established in his centre, ‘Emeka Anyaoku Foundation Centre,’ to assist them in their educational pursuit.
Anyaoku, represented by the director of the foundation centre, Mrs. Oluchi Nguzolo Nnoli, told the chikdren that he is one who loves education and children, and as such encourages reading and learning.
“So today we decided to celebrate the children by having Christmas party for them free of charge. Not less than 310 of them are being celebrated . We fed them by giving them food, gift items, and there is quiz for them, questions and answers series, among others,” he disclosed.
In his contribution, Igwe Iweka advised them to be of good behaviour and avoid acts capable of bringing them to ridicule but rather inculcate reading and learning culture if they want to excel in life.
“Whoever that asks you to steal or be involve in bad things just say no. Some of them who carry out such evill acts either die untimely, have problem or be useless in life.
“If you know you will succeed in life be hard working, start now to be hardwiring. Culcate in you the habit of reading, learning and also writing to be like Chief Emeka Anyaoku and others who have excelled in life .
“Again, you may be Art or science inclined but it can’t stop you from diverting to other subjects. For example my daughter who today is a medical doctor is art inclined while in school.
“Avoid cultism and evil or bad companies that will lure you into their evil gang and useless you in life. Be of good behaviour and always work hard to excel,” he advised them
The monarch paid glowing tribute to Chief Anyaoku for the establishment of the foundation centre stating that he has paved the way for the children to use the library in the foundation centre to read and learn more.
In his own advice, the President General of Obosi Urban, Chief Emeka Asimonye, (a.k.a. Dikedioranma), expressed satisfaction with what has been impacted in the children adding that it is left for them to make use of it if they want to excel in life.
