The Director General of Anti piracy Society of Nigeria Frank Uduonu gave the warning while speaking to newsmen during the society’s campaign /sensitization rally on the dangers of fake products in Onitsha Anambra State.
The Anti Piracy DG warned manufacturers and importers of edible and non edible items to abide by the rules by living up to the oath of their certification.

According to him , Anti Piracy Society of Nigeria will not hesitate to deal with any manufacturer or importer of products who reduced the quality of his or her products or outrightly engage in importation or manufacturing of fake products.
Uduonu noted that their campaign to the three senatorial zones of Anambra State is to create awareness as their monitoring will be unannounced or unscheduled.
He added that their sensitization to Nigerians especially the people in Anambra State is to instill the import of genuine products and originality, hence the need to first give opportunity window to some of them to correct errors or improve on the quality of their products, so that in the end, they will be seen as corrective than punitive.
The Anti piracy Society of Nigeria Boss said that they are doing this to ensure that the quality and taste of the brand of products consumers patronize geometrically increase, and only companies that can supply these needs will continue to dominate.
He said the sensitization awareness which took the members to major markets ,streets in Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka shows that they will not relent in eradicating fake and substandard products in the society.
