Anambra Traders’ Sports: 3 teams enter football semi-finals

Three teams on Saturday qualified for the semi-finals of the football event at the ongoing Anambra Traders’ Sports Competition.

The teams are Nkwo Umunze Market of Orumba South Local Government Area (LGA) and Ogbo Rod Market in Ogbaru LGA from Group A, while the third qualifier, Old Motor Spare Parts Market, Obosi, also known as ‘Ngbuka Obosi’, qualified from Group B.

The fourth and final qualifier for the semis will emerge after the Group B encounter between Ajasa Market, Onitsha, and Old Spare Parts, Obosi, postponed to Nov. 15.

In his reaction, Coach Charles of Old Motor Spare Parts, Obosi, said he was happy that his team went through to the semi-finals.

The elated coach said he is now focusing on the ultimate prize.

Winners of the football event will go home with N3 million, N2 million and N1 million as first, second and third prizes respectively.
