Anambra: NYSC sends SOS to Obiano Over erosion menace

Coordinator, Anambra State, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr. Kehinde Aremu has appealed to the state governor, Willie Obiano to address the issue of landscaping in the Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu to forestall further ecological issues.
He made the appeal during the swearing in ceremony of prospective corps members deployed to Anambra for their service year on Monday. According to the coordinator , the top soil of the camp is eroding away and has led to the collapse of a particular section of the perimeter fence.
He said that if there is no urgent, intervention it may greatly affect state-of -art orientation camp negatively. To the corps members, Kehinde Aremu advised them to surpass the achievements of their predecessors in the state .
Aremu also advised the corps members to participate actively in all camp activities and adhere strictly to COVID 19 protocols.
“In spite of the outbreak of the deadly disease, normal life could still go on as long as the rules guiding the curtailment of corona virus are obeyed” he said.
The Honourable Chief Judge of Anambra State Hon. Justice Onochie Anyachebelu represented by Justice Michael Okonkwo had earlier administered the Oath of Allegiance on corps members.
