Anambra guber: Group pledges support for Uba’s candidacy

A group, called Anambra All Progressives Congress (APC) Media Frontier, says it will work for the victory of the party’s candidate, Sen. Andy Uba, in the Nov. 6 governorship poll.
The Coordinator of the group, Mr Ikemba Iyke-Oliobi, said this at a news conference in Awka on Monday.
Ikemba Iyke-Oliobi lauded the peaceful conduct of the June 26 primary election of the party and congratulated Uba on his emergence as the party’s standard bearer.
He said although the exercise did not go down well with some aspirants, the good of the party should not be sacrificed.
Iyke-Oliobi called for reconciliation amongst the aggrieved members in order to build a strong support for Uba.
“APC Media Frontier notes that this is an unusual time in Anambra, with every major political party having internal issues regarding the process and outcome of their primaries.
“But we are mindful that we stand a better chance of winning.
“APC must manage the fallout of the primary election with care, maturity and humility.
“Anambra State Working Committee of APC has also congratulated Sen. Uba and promised to work with him to reconcile all the aggrieved members in the interest of the party.
