Anambra Governor Prof. Charles Soludo, Family, Deputy Gov. Dr. Ibezim & Ndị Anambra Meet in London

MEETING OF THE GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE, PROFESSOR CHARLES CHUKWUMA SOLUDO, HIS WIFE AND HIS DAUGHTER AND THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR, ANAMBRA STATE, Dr. GILBERT ỌNYEKACHUKWU IBEZIM AND NDỊ ANAMBRA IN LONDON, ENGLAND, ON THIS DAY, EASTER, MONDAY, 21ST APRIL, 2025.
The long expected meeting started at 5:00 p.m., London time, with the arrival of the governor and his team.

The Nigerian national antem was sang, and prayer was said, and guests took their seats for the business of the day to start without delay.
Kolanuts, bitter Kola, and alligator pepper were served to maintain the culture of ndị Igbo all over the world, even in diaspora.
After the Kolanuts were presented to the governor and the title red cap Igbo traditional leaders, the Ọlụọ Ọha Mbosi prayed and broke the Kolanuts, and they were distributed to everyone.
Then, the achievements of the government of Anambra State under Soludo within these three years under review were shown on the screen in the hall.
It took quite a long time, and in the end, the governor gave his speech, a lengthy one indeed, being a speech mixed with seriousness, humour, philosophy, metaphor, satirical tendencies, idiomatic expression, and intermittently, laughter.
In all intents and purposes, it was a well prepared speech, which preemptively took on any unforseen question.
The main point of the long speech is to make Anambra State better than it was in the past.
The governor heaped praises on himself, in his ability to salvage Anambra State and ndị Anambra from the shackles of death, armageddon, and calamity.
Everyone was patient reading his speeches and reading his eyes, and reading his lips at the same time.
At the end of the whole long period of self eulogy comes question time, well articulated, and well loaded.
A high percentage of the questions went to issues of security and infrastructure.
- Insecurities in Anambra State
- Lack of road construction and maintenance, together with poor power supply and portable water
- Abusive use of firearms by the state vigilante operatives, Agụlaechemba
- Arbitrary demolition of people’s buildings, markets, and structures without compensation
- Land cases, selling and reselling of the same land in Anambra State
- Erosion devastation in some places in Anambra State
- Occupation of the bushes and forests in Anambra by the unknown people
- Selective developmental projects of the governor, that’s favouring the localities who offered him more votes during his election than other places
- Insecurities in Ihiala local government area, very laudable
- Reclaiming of our bushes and farmlands
- Mass return of ndị Anambra
- Traditional rulers ruling from home and not from abroad
- Agricultural revolution and creation of leisure centres, parks, and walkways in Anambra
- Green revolution, and keeping Anambra clean
- Forestation
- Technology development in Anambra and marking the roads in Anambra, and traffic lights, indications
- Railway construction in Anambra
- Revitalization of Ogbunike cave and Agụlụ lake and making Anambra the point of destination and not the point of departure
- Encouragement of small skill industries, young entrepreneurs, and patronising homemade goods
- Hope for Anambra, the projection of Anambra, and the state of Anambra at the end of the tenure.
These are the main focus, the focal points of the project of the governor, Soludo ( o núcleo do projecto de governador, Soludo)
We all asked our important and pertinent questions individually, but the governor intermittently continued mentioning Ihiala, Ihiala, and Ihiala, the dreaded zone of all of the areas of the state.
Now, I am coming home to my question to the governor.
I asked the governor why Ihiala doesn’t have neither road nor security, even electricity or water?
He replied in clear terms, unequivocally and meticulously articulated answer:
He said, “Ndị Ihiala, dozie nụ be ụnụ tupu arụọm ọrụ mchọrọ ịrụ na Ihiala (In other words, Ihiala people put your place in order before I will execute the work I planned for Ihiala)”
- People of Ihiala make peace amongst yourselves
- People of Ihiala lead with truth, sincerity, transparency, accountability, and trust
- People of Ihiala reclaim your bushes, forests, and farmlands
- Representatives of ndị Ihiala present your matters to me, and I will sign them
- People of Ihiala, dialogue amongst yourselves
- People of Ihiala know your environment, be vigilant, detect intruders, and secure your environment
- People of Ihiala bring out the unknown people living in your houses, your bushes, and your forests
- People of Ihiala, it’s your duty to help the external security to detect grey areas and dark spots in your place
- People of Ihiala have meetings amongst yourselves
- People of Ihiala help yourselves.
- Ihiala, I know you people very, very well
- Ihiala, I know your place very well
These were the paramount messages of the governor of Anambra State to ndị Ihiala.
Ụmụnnem ndị Ihiala, after my meeting with Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo yesterday here in London, we shook hands, and a serious revelation of Ihiala was made open and known to me.
In the case of the bad road at ahia igwe Ụmụdara, the governor said that he knows everything that is going on there and that in a few months’ time, people around there will smile.
He asked all the traditional rulers abroad to return home and lead their people from the front and not from abroad or from back. They must be accountable to their people and their domains.
Ụmụnnem, ndi Ihiala, this is the nutshell of my meeting with the governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, his deputy, Dr. Gilbert Ibezim, his team, and ndi Anambra State yesterday, in London, England.
I will continue fighting for the betterment of ndi Ihiala and ndi Igbo and to bring Ihiala, Ihite, and Ụmụdara, to the light always by the grace of God.
