Prof. Chinwe Anunobi, National Librarian, National Library of Nigeria, has urged Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra to facilitate the establishment of the Anambra branch of the national library.

Anunobi said on Friday during a courtesy visit to the governor in Awka that doing so would further boost the level of literacy in the state.

She said it was unfortunate that Anambra, known for excellence in education, has no branch of the national library.

“It is disheartening that Anambra State with dignified personalities in diverse fields of life has no branch of national library. I urge other state governments to build one.
