ACEND Empowers about 200 Disability members in Anambra, as Cosmos Okoli glorifies God

Association for Comprehensive Empowerment of Nigeria with persons with Disability (ACEND) has empowered about 200 of its members.
The private driven project which took place at Finotel Hotels Awka added smiles to the lives of persons with disability.
Items shared included wheelchairs, Able and armpit clutches etc.
Speaking during the occasion, the Chairman / Founder of Association of Comprehensive Empowerment of Nigeria with persons with Disability (ACEND), advised the benefitiaries to use the wheel chairs and other products.
He encouraged them not to sell any of the products, even ‘if you don’t want it to give it to another person free of charge beachse we did not collect kobo to give it to you.
Okoli who is also former Chairman of Special Sports Federation of Nigeria, Cosokoli Ventures Nig. ltd, and an Officer of the Order of Niger, (OON)
said ” a friend of mine and classmate approached me and said I want to sponsor an empowerment program in Anambra state and I don’t want my name to be mentioned and I asked why? You are my classmate, other mates are far richer than you who can do this 100 times the amount you are spending on this but they don’t think it’s the best thing to do. Lets make it public so that people will know and ask, How? and why?

He doesn’t want people to know that he is the one behind this today.
The person is an Igboman, my classmate, an old boy of Christ the King College, Onitsha (198 2set) I won’t mention his name because he didn’t want his name to be mentioned, when you receive, pray for the anonymous sponsor.
“Today is one of the days I feel I am drunk because I know what I have suffered as someone who had polio at the age of four, I crawled until the age of eleven. I crawled for seven years so when I see my colleagues crawling I know what they are going through.
“This is what I love doing, I have been doing this for over 30 years but the resources have to come by. I only do it when I had the resources and when the good people say, let’s do it by providing the fund.
“The only thing I can tell you brothers and sisters,is that the beneficiaries of today’s events is ” Use the wheelchair ,cluctches and etc and don’t sell them. If you can not use it, we did not charge you kobo, If you don’t want it again give it out to another person free. If you sell it am sorry for you .
“There are some of you who are using clutches but using it with difficulties I use it as well,for the past two years I have not used it .As you get older it becomes difficult .The joints start to complain for those people we will give you as well but we can’t live those that are crawlling and give those that are managing .Use it and use it well.
According to Pastor Ugochukwu Ekwem, a philanthropist, ” I like to see my fund entering in to what concerned ‘ humanity’, Less privileged, Disables,and widows.
“Giving is living and when you stop giving you will stop living.
“This is what I have been doing for past seven years. By the special grace of God
“I have been faithful and God has been bleesing me more and more .When you give out God will give back to you.Any good thing you do, you have done it to God and any time you affect the life of people you have affected the life of God. God created us to help each other.
‘For the people with Disability ,God will surely send helpers to them.
Some of the beneficiaries ,Mr Patrick Aguekwe, Chubuike Okoye, Chidi Ubaka, and Okeke Eucharia expressed happiness ,joy and thanked the Chief Cosmos Okoli and his anonymous sponsor for remembering them, even as they prayed and thanked God for using them to help people with Disability. They prayed that God will protect ,bless, him and his family because he made some of them what they are today, he introduced some of them to sports when he was Chairman special sports in Nigeria,
They said he has been helpful and that he is still doing it.
“We are praying that his brother Chukwuma Soludo (Governor-elect) will extend his hands to persons with Disability hrough him’.
