Police Hunt Kidnappers as Man, SUV Missing Since July in Anambra
Police in Anambra have launched a manhunt for gunmen who abducted Hyginus Arinze Nnanyelugo and his Lexus RX 300 SUV on July 11, 2024, in Onitsha. The incident occurred near his home at Onoja Oboli Street, when assailants in a tricycle blocked and whisked him away.
Confirming the abduction, police spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga said efforts are ongoing to rescue the victim and recover the vehicle.
Nnanyelugo’s wife, MaryCynthia, swore an affidavit detailing the incident and appealed to security agencies for help, citing the toll his disappearance has taken on the family. The vehicle’s engine and chassis numbers have been shared with authorities to aid the search.
