President Tinubu Commissions Six Completed Projects At Nnamdi Azikiwe University

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday, 28th March, 2025 Commissioned six completed projects at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

The Visitor to the University performed the function during the 19th Convocation Ceremony of the institution.

The projects commissioned were Faculty of Social Sciences 700 seater Auditorium donated by Chief Benson Madubuko, Student Hostel Type ‘D’ in Awka, Reconstructed Southern Boundary/Frontage Fence of the institution in Awka,  Block of 20-room self-contain staff offices at College of Medicine, NAUTH, Nnewi, Unveiling of signage for Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah Medical Centre, Awka, Tetfund sponsored Environmental Management Laboratory in Awka as well as foundation stone laying of the CEP Legacy Administrative complex in Awka.

In his remarks, President Tinubu who was represented by former Vice-Chancellor of UNIZIK and current Vice-Chancellor of African University of Science and Technology Abuja, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu commended the administration of the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu for his vision geared towards promoting teaching and research in the institution.

The Visitor to the institution called on staff and students of the institution to support the current administration in its quest of taking the institution to an accelerated levels.

Highpoints of the tour were cutting of the ribbons, unveiling on the project signages and session of group photographs.

Present during the commissioning of the completed projects were the Chancellor, His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba; the Pro-Chancellor, Barr. Monsur Olugbenga Kukoyi; the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu and principal officers of the University.
