A novelist, tennis champion, broadcaster, and diplomat, Segun passed away in the early hours of Thursday. Her family expressed gratitude for her impactful life, stating that funeral arrangements would be announced later.
Born on February 18, 1930, Segun was a trailblazer in literature, sports, and broadcasting. She earned a degree in English Literature, Latin, and History from University College Ibadan (now University of Ibadan) in 1953, marking the beginning of an illustrious academic and professional career that spanned decades.
