Concealed crude oil transported as imported goods intercepted by IMAN taskforce

In a bid to checkmate and eliminate smuggling and adulteration in the Nigerian nation, Importers Association of Nigerian Taskforce, IMAN has intercepted a container with crude oil concealed in sacks, disguised and transported as imported goods in the Osisioma area of Abia state.

The team which was led by the DG of the task force Amb. Chijioke Okoro John was very tactical in apprehending the bunker traders as the arrest was made by the security operatives attached to the agency.

Speaking about the interception and arrest the DG hailed his boys and the security operatives attached to the agency, he maintained that the agency will continue to foil the activities of bunker -traders in the Nigeria “Bunkering is inimical to the economy, why will a few people divert the commonwealth of the nation for their own selfish and personal gain, as far as I remain the DG, I will not allow this evil to thrive, my agency will ensure that this evil act is curtailed and eliminated, some of the people aiding this evil act are Isa Osu, Faith Ugwuanyi and Friday Amobi, apart from the arrest we made, we have also been able to burst where this illegal operation takes place”.
