24 year old Man blames sexual urge after killing his girlfriend

A Keke Napep operator, Chigozie Nwokoro, has blamed his sexual appetite for the combat that led to his girlfriend’s death inside his house in Umuahia.

The 24-year-old man was arrested by youths of Ajata Ibeku, Wednesday night, while dumping the dead body of his girlfriend in the bush.

In his confessional statement to Ajata youths, the murder suspect claimed that his late girlfriend, identified as Beauty, a native of Oboro in Ikwuano LGA, refused his demand to make love to her, which according to him, caused a fight between them.

Nwokoro, who claimed that he “really loved” his girlfriend, said that the victim hit her head on the wall of his room during the fight, at about 7:pm, leading to her death.

According to the 24-year-old man, when he realised that his girlfriend was dead, he became confused on what to do but later made up his mind to dump her body in the bush at night, to avoid being noticed.

But his plans were later exposed when some youths observed him driving into a bush path at odd hours of the night, which made them trace him.

“The suspect has been handed over to the police after receiving the beating of his life, while the body of the victim is expected to undergo an autopsy to determine the true cause of her death,” a source said.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO of Abia State Command, Chioma Maureen Chinaka, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, saying that he is already in the police net.
