2025 Budget, Prioritizes Infrastructure, Housing, and Education

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has presented a N540.37 billion budget for 2025, focusing on completing ongoing projects, initiating new infrastructure developments, and supporting social protection programs. The budget allocates 62.1% to capital expenditure, with key projects including mass housing, road construction, and the renovation of stadia. Education, health, and social welfare are also prioritized, with significant allocations for a new university and mechanized agriculture. Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized fiscal discipline, highlighting improvements in infrastructure and a reduced state debt. The Kwara State House of Assembly is set to review the proposal.
